Herb Pharm prepares their Pipsissewa tincture from fresh (undried) leaves of Chimaphila umbellata plants which are Custom Wildcrafted in their wild mountain habitat.

To promote conservation of wild Pipsissewa stands, only the uppermost leaves are carefully harvested, which stimulates new growth and does not destroy the plants.

To assure optimal extraction of Pipsissewa’s bioactive compounds, the leaves are taken directly from the field to the Herb Pharm laboratory and are promptly extracted while still fresh and succulent.

The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant.
