Plum Flower Tian Ma Gou Teng Teapills Calms the Liver, Extinguishes Wind, Clears Heat, Subdues Liver Yang, Tonifies Liver and Kidneys, and Invigorates the Blood.
Indications:
Liver Yang uprising and internal Liver wind with Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency presenting with pounding headaches at the temples, behind the eyes, or top of the head, dizziness, vertigo, stiffness and pain in the neck and shoulders, parasthesias of the extremities including, numbness, twitching, tremors or spasms, convulsions, deviation of the mouth and eyes, tinnitus, hearing loss, blurred vision, visual disturbances, red complexion, facial and neck flushing, a sensation of heat rushing to the head, irritability, easily angered, tendency to feel warm and restless, insomnia, restless sleep, dream-disturbed sleep, thirst for cold drinks, dark or concentrated urine, constipation. Tongue: red, possibly stiff or trembling Pulse: wiry, rapid.**

Hypertension, migraine headache, tension headache, cerebrovascular disease, transient ischemic attacks, post-stroke paralysis, hemiplegia, facial paralysis, aphasia, apraxia, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, muscle spasms, puerperal eclampsia, pre-eclampsia, trigeminal neuralgia, sleep disorders.*
Standard Dosage:
8 pills, 3 x day.
Clinical Dosage:
Administer Plum Flower Tian Ma Gou Teng Teapills half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. For insomnia 8-16 pills may be administered before bed. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years. Monitor for signs of Spleen Qi deficiency.**
Ingredients:
Haliotis diversicolor shell, Taxillus chinensis twig, Uncaria rhynchophylla vine, Polygonum multiflorum vine, Poria cocos fungus, Leonurus japonicus herb, Gastrodia elata rhizome, Gardenia jasminoides fruit, Scutellaria baicalensis root, Eucommia ulmoides bark, Cyathula officinalis root. – Shi jue ming, Sang ji sheng, Gou teng, Ye jiao teng, Fu ling, Yi mu cao, Tian ma, Zhi zi, Huang qin, Du zhong, Chuan niu xi.
Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Contraindicated during pregnancy. Use with caution in patients on anti-coagulant therapy. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.**
