Chinese Bulk Herbs – Black Soybean (Dan Dou Chi)
Fermented black soybean is used to treat restlessness and irritability. They can also be used to improve sleep. Many herbalists use Dan Dou Chi to reduce fever and relieve stuffiness and congestion in the chest.
Soybeans go through a rather intensive process to become Dan Dou Chi. First they are soaked, cooked, and then innoculated with spores and incubated for around 3 days. They are then washed, and then allowed to rest in brine for several months before final drying.

Induces diaphoresis – eases the Mind and relieves fever. Releases the Exterior; Calms anxiety and irritation
