Chinese Bulk Herbs – Epimedium (Yin Yang Huo)
Epimedium is used for a variety of disorders including anti-aging effects, dilating the blood vessel which when used for erectile dysfunction will improve the blood flow to the penis causing an erection. Known as horny goat weed because of this ability but it also lowers cholesterol, has anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, and anti-bacterial properties.
It can be mixed with Rehmannia to treat impotence and frequent urination, rheumatic conditions, back pain, and muscle spasms. It’s known to strengthen the kidneys dispelling wind and dampness.

Pungent and sweet in flavor, warm in property, acts on the Liver and Kidney channels.
Folk-Lore:
According to legend, a Chinese goat herder noticed sexual activity after his flock ate some Epimedium. The active ingredient is icariin, of which most extracts contain 5% to 60%. Icariin works by increasing nitric oxide. That relaxes muscles (Seattle, WA)
