This root is not the same as black licorice and as such will not have the distinct flavor of the titular candy. However, if you would like this flavor, we do carry star anise which has strong licorice appeal. When chewed, the roots of this herb produce a strong, sweet flavor. Try it yourself! This herb makes a great sweetener in herbal teas as well.
