Plum Flower An Mien Pian calms the shen, nourishes blood, clears heart heat, transforms phlegm, and regulates digestion.

Indications:
Heart Yin and Liver Blood deficiency with Shen and sleep disturbances. Presenting with insomnia or complete inability to sleep, excessive dreaming, difficulty sleeping following a heavy meal, nervous exhaustion, anxiety, palpitations, irritability, restlessness, agitation, depression, forgetfulness, poor memory, poor concentration, mental fatigue, red eyes. Also for phlegm misting the Heart with accompanying disorientation, confusion and excessive brooding. Tongue: dry and red, or pale with red tip and sides Pulse: thin, wiry, rapid.**

Biomedical Applications:
sleep disorders, acute and chronic anxiety disorders, panic attacks, clinical depression, neurosis, senility, short term memory loss, attention deficit disorder, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome.*

Standard Dosage:
3-4 tablets, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 4-6 tablets 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. For insomnia 4-8 tablets may be taken before bed. The effects of this formula may not felt until the patient has taken the formula for several days. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years. It is often administered along with a constitutional formula for a few months to treat insomnia.**

Cautions & Contraindications:
Do Not use during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Use with caution during pregnancy. Contains tree nuts & wheat.**
