Herb Pharm’s Artichoke Tincture is an appetite stimulant that regenerates and protects the liver, reduces cholesterol and fat in the blood, and prevents gallstones.

Used as a choleretic (stimulates production of bile by the liver). Lowers concentration of fats, cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Protective, regenerative and anti-toxic to the liver. Bitters action stimulates appetite and enhances good digestion. Diuretic. Excessive blood levels of cholesterol, fats and triglycerides. Sluggish liver and gallbladder function; jaundice; prevention of gallstones; fatty degeneration of the liver. Adjunct therapy in arteriosclerosis. Poor appetite, atonic dyspepsia and poor digestion (especially fats). Skin problems associated with poor liver function. Rheumatism and gout.

Herb Pharm prepares their Artichoke Extract from the leaf & flower bud of Cynara scolymus plants which are Certified Organically Grown on private farms without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

To assure optimal extraction of Artichoke’s bioactive compounds, the plants are hand-harvested at their optimal potency, are carefully shade-dried, and are then thoroughly extracted.

The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. Herb Pharm assure herb identity via macroscopic and organoleptic analysis, then confirm it through methods such as HPTLC fingerprinting specific to each herb. The formula is easily dispensed, taken in liquid form and added to water or other liquid.
