Bromelain is an enzyme from the pineapple plant which accelerates the breakdown of proteins. It has been shown to support the relief of occasional and minor discomfort. Bromelain may also assist the body in its response to physical stress.

– What is bromelain?
It is an enzyme found in pineapple. It is called a proteolytic enzyme because it breaks down proteins.

– Why is that important?
The enzyme can be taken as a digestive aid, because the breakdown of proteins helps the digestive process. But it may also serve another process, and that is helping to support already normal blood flow.

– How does it do that?
Because it can break down or dissolve proteins that accumulate in the blood vessels, it may also support cardiovascular health.

– Why would bromelain be better than another digestive product?
The enzyme works in all pH levels in the body. Many enzymes do not function well in the acidic environment of the stomach.

Serving Size: 1 Tablet

Ingredients:

Calcium (as dibasic calcium phosphate) 66 mg
Bromelain (600 G.D.U. per gram) 500 mg

Other Ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate, sorbitol, stearic acid, modified cellulose gum, magnesium stearate, and silica.

Suggested Use:

For breakdown of proteins – 1 tablet with a meal. For physical stress – 1 tablet three times daily between meals.
