Herb Pharm’s Butcher’s Broom Tincture has been used for an anti inflammatory for the veins (helps with varicose veins), reduces capillary fragility and tones sluggish venous systems.

Typically used as an anti-inflammatory tonic for the veins. Reduces capillary fragility and permeability and tones sluggish venous system. Extremities and skin: varicose veins, varicose ulcers and phlebitis, painful veins, leg edema and cramps (especially during pregnancy); frostbite, chilblains, purpura, Raynaud’s disease. Anorectum: reduces swelling, pain, heat and itching of hemorrhoids and anal fissures. Retina: diabetic retinopathy and retinal bleeding. Gynecological: vein disorders related to oral contraceptives, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), certain menstrual disorders. Post-operative: taken before and after surgery to prevent or minimize postoperative thrombosis (especially where anticoagulant therapy is contraindicated).

The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. To assure optimal extraction of Butcher’s Broom’s bioactive compounds, the rhizomes are hand-dug only in late autumn or early spring, are carefully shade-dried, and are thoroughly extracted.
