Chinese Bulk Herbs – Chaenomeles (Mu Gua)
Chaenomeles, or as the Chinese call it Mu Gua, is used to reduce inflammations in rheumatic conditions. It also relieves spasms, vomiting, and helps with digestion.
Clinical Use (Chinese):
Chinese quince or Mu Gua increase blood circulation, enhances blood, and qi movement. Chinese medicine use Mu Gua Olibanum (Ru Xiang), Myrrha (Mo Yao), and Radix Rehmanniae (Sheng Di Huang) in The Chaenomeles Decoction (Mu Gua Jian).

Dried nearly ripe fruit
Properties:
Sour in flavor, warm in property, acts on the Liver and Spleen channels. Soothes the channels and alleviates muscular contracture, dispels Dampness, and regulates Stomach function.
Cautions:
None known however, don’t use externally or if you have yin deficiency.
