Indications:

Food stagnation or summer wind-damp invasion presenting with abdominal distention and pain, nausea that is worse after eating, gas and bloating after meals, belching with a sour or foul taste, heartburn, bad breath, acid regurgitation, vomiting undigested food, poor appetite or aversion to food, foul smelling gas, constipation, diarrhea or foul smelling stool, headache, dizziness, slight fever and chills. Tongue: greasy coat Pulse: slippery

Biomedical Applications:

acute gastroenteritis, acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hepatitis, acute pancreatitis, cholecystitis, nausea and vomiting following chemotherapy or radiation therapy, morning sickness, motion sickness, food poisoning, gastrointestinal flu, dysentery, traveler’s diarrhea, dyspepsia, all minor acute gastrointestinal disorders including upset stomach, indigestion, overeating, hangover

Standard Dosage:

2-3 capsules, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:

Administer half an hour before or after eating, or with food to facilitate digestion of meals. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 2-5 capsules 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium to long-term, for several weeks to several months. This formula is often administered with an appropriate constitutional formula for long-term treatment. It is also administered with heavy, tonic formulas to facilitate their digestion.

Ingredients: Poria cocos fungus, Coix lachryma jobi seed, Pogostemon cablin herb, Magnolia officinalis bark, Angelica dahurica root, Massa fermenta, Atractylodes lancea rhizome, Aucklandia lappa root, Pueraria lobata root, Setaria italica fruit, Trichosanthes kirilowii root, Chrysanthemum morifolium flower, Citrus rubrum peel, Gastrodia elata rhizome, Mentha haplocalyx herb. – Fu ling, Yi yi ren, Huo xiang, Hou po, Bai zhi, Shen qu, Cang zhu, Mu xiang, Ge gen, Gu ya, Tian hua fen, Ju hua, Ju hong, Tian ma, Bo he.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution in Yin deficiency. Because of the Qi-regulating aspects of this formula caution is advised when administering during late stages of pregnancy or in cases of threatened miscarriage, although very useful and appropriate for morning sickness in early stages of pregnancy. Contains tree nuts & wheat.
