Plum Flower Eight Righteous Teapills help with Burning and painful urination — Urinary Tract Infection

Indications:
Hot or bloody Lin-syndrome (painful urinary dysfunction) due to damp-heat in the lower jiao. Presenting with urgent, difficult, painful or burning urination, frequent, scanty or obstructed urinary flow, strong smelling, concentrated urine, dark, cloudy or bloody urine, dry mouth and throat, thirst, pain or distention in the suprapubic region, fever or alternating fever and chills. Tongue: red with a greasy yellow coat Pulse: slippery, rapid.

Biomedical Applications:
urinary tract infection, dysuria, acute nephritis, acute pyelonephritis, acute glomerulonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, hematuria, urinary calculi, post-operative or post-illness urine retention, prostatitis, acute gonorrhea, stomatitis.

Standard Dosage:
8 pills, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short to medium-term for a few weeks to a month. Once acute symptoms of this condition are resolved, this formula should be discontinued. Monitor for signs of Yin or Spleen Qi deficiency.

Ingredients:
Lysimachia christinae herb, Akebia trifoliata stem, Plantago asiatica seed, Dianthus superbus herb, Polygonum aviculare herb, Gardenia jasminoides fruit, Glycyrrhiza uralensis root, Phellodendron chinense bark, Rheum palmatum root. – Jin qian cao, Mu tong, Che qian zi, Qu mai, Bian xu, Zhi zi, Gan cao, Huang bai, Da huang.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. May cause mild abdominal cramping in sensitive patients. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
