Herb Pharm Goldenseal Tincture
Herb Pharm Goldenseal Tincture is a stimulating astringent which can tonify mucous membranes. Also an alterative stomach tonic and digestive bitters. Goldenseal improves appetite and digestion, promotes peristaltic action and muscular tone of stomach and intestines and promotes bile production. Antibacterial and antifungal. Uterine tonic.
Used to fight sub-acute and chronic inflammation of mucous membranes and glandular system with altered secretions; chronic inflammation and ulcerations of mouth and throat, nasal sinuses and pharynx, gastro-intestinal system (e.g., gastric and duodenal ulcers, colitis), genitourinary system (e.g., prolapsed uterus) and respiratory system (e.g., bronchial phlegm). Also indicated in passive bleeding from these tissues. Adjunct, long-range therapy for chronic constipation due to enfeebled relaxed tissues. Chronic atonic dyspepsia and poor digestion with torpid liver. Convalescence from protracted fevers and inflammation. Recovery from alcoholism and associated atonic gastrointestinal tract. Topically for infected wounds, ulcerations and bedsores, conjunctivitis (“pink eye”), etc.

Herb Pharm prepares their Goldenseal Tincture from the rhizome & rootlets of Hydrastis canadensis plants which are Certified Organically Grown.
To assure optimal extraction of Goldenseal’s bioactive compounds, the rhizome & rootlets are hand-dug in the autumn, are carefully cleaned & shade-dried, and are then thoroughly extracted.
Goldenseal tincture is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. Herb Pharm assures the herb identity via macroscopic and organoleptic analysis, then they confirm it through methods such as HPTLC fingerprinting specific to each herb. Herb Pharm liquid extracts are easily dosed, taken in liquid form and may be added to water or other liquid for taste.
