Western Bulk Herbs – Gotu Kola
Despite its common name, Gotu Kola Herb, or Centella asiatica, is not related to the kola nut, contains no caffeine and has no stimulant properties. Quite the contrary, Centella asiatica actually has calming properties. It also helps with memory problems, with bronchitis, leprosy, dysentery, leukoderma, and it functions as a nerve tonic.
In the Ayurvedic system of medicine, doctors in India have traditionally used wildcrafted herbs like Centella asiatica granules for various ailments.
In certain parts of the world, this herb is eaten as a leafy green in salads and various dishes due to its availability and nutrition content.
