Min Shan Jin Gui Shen Qi

Min Shan Jin Gui Shen Qi warms and tonifies kidney yang.

Indications:
Kidney Yang deficiency presenting with low back pain, knee pain, weakness in the lower extremities, poor circulation, cold intolerance, cold sensation around the waist and in the lower body, tenseness in the lower abdomen, frequent clear copious urination, night urination, urinary dribbling, incontinence, urinary difficulty with edema below the waist especially the ankles, impotence, low libido, fatigue, listlessness, digestive difficulty, pale face, wheezing, difficulty breathing while lying down. Tongue: pale and swollen, with a thin white, wet coat Pulse: deep, slow, weak, may be faint in rear position.**

Biomedical Applications:
Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan can help with chronic nephritis, chronic glomerulonephritis, nephrosclerosis, nephrotic syndrome, chronic urethritis, nocturia, oliguria with edema, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, erectile dysfunction, infertility, sperm motility problems, oligospermia, benign prostatic hypertrophy, senile pruritus, chronic gonorrhea, rectal prolapse, diabetes, hypothyroidism, hypoaldosteronism, neurasthenia, arthritis, lumbago, sciatica, optic nerve atrophy, senile cataracts, glaucoma, keratitis, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, hypotension, chronic asthma.*

Standard Dosage:
8 pills, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:
Administer Jin Gui Shen Qi half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. Jin Gui Shen Qi may be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years.**

Ingredients:
Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep, Dioscorea opposita rhizome, Cornus officinalis fruit, Paeonia suffruticosa root-bark, Poria cocos fungus, Alisma plantago aquatica rhizome, Cinnamomum cassia bark, Aconitum carmichaeli root-prep. – Shu di huang, Shan yao, Shan zhu yu, Mu dan pi, Fu ling, Ze xie, Rou gui, Fu zi.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Because of the invigorating and warming aspects of this formula it is contraindicated during pregnancy. However, with the appropriate TCM diagnosis this formula is sometimes used to promote fertility. Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Contraindicated for conditions due to Yin deficiency.**
