Chinese Bulk Herbs – Juncus (Deng Xin Cao)

Juncus, or soft rush, is promotes urination and unblocks painful urinary dribbling. This herb also helps to clear heart fire, and to help treat stranguria.

One of ingredients in Hui Sup Tea, this multi-functional herb is also dried and woven into matting in many regions. The inner pith of the plant have also been used as an alternative to candles.

Clinical Use (Chinese):
To eliminate excess fire in the heart, and to induce diuresis. Directs Heart fire downward and Clears Heat from the Heart channel.

Inner pith or medulla

Properties:
