Plum Flower’s Ma Zi Ren Teapills helps to Moisten the Intestines, Clear Heat, Regulate Qi, Nourishe the Blood, and Unblock the Bowels

Indications:
Yang Ming channel heat and dryness presenting with constipation, dry, hard and difficult to expel stools, abdominal bloating and pain, accompanied by dry mouth, bad breath and frequent scanty urination. Tongue: dry yellow coat Pulse: May be deep or floating, rapid, choppy

Biomedical Applications:
chronic constipation, post-partum constipation, post-surgical constipation, painful hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome with predominant constipation

Standard Dosage:
8 pills, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:
Administer Ma Zi Ren Teapills half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. Dose should be increased until a smooth bowel movement is achieved, then reduced to the minimum required to give a result. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. Once constipation has been relieved, this formula should be discontinued and replaced with an appropriate constitutional formula, as patients can habituate to rhubarb’s laxative effect.

Ingredients:
Linum usitatissimum seed, Prunus armeniaca seed, Citrus aurantium fruit-immature, Magnolia officinalis bark, Paeonia lactiflora root, Rheum palmatum root & rhizome, Activated carbon, Botanical wax, Talcum. – Ya ma zi, Xing ren, Zhi shi, Hou po, Bai shao, Da huang, Activated carbon, Botanical wax, Talcum.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. Use with caution when constipation is exclusively due to Blood deficiency. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness. May cause mild abdominal cramping in sensitive patients. Contains tree nuts.
