Herb Pharm Marshmallow Tincture is very mucilaginous and demulcent, expectorant, and a mild astringent. Soothing to gastrointestinal, bronchi and urinary tracts. Enhances immune system response.*

Used for inflammation and irritation of membranes of gastrointestinal, bronchi and urinary tracts; dry coughs; dry sore throat; stomach ulcers; diarrhea; cystitis and burning urine. Weak immune system.

Herb Pharm prepares their Marshmallow Tincture from fresh (undried) roots of Althaea officinalis plants which are Certified Organically Grown on private farms without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

To assure optimal extraction of Marshmallow’s bioactive compounds, the roots are hand-dug in late autumn or early spring and are then taken directly to the laboratory and promptly extracted  into Marshmallow Tincture while still fresh and succulent.

Marshmallow tincture is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. Herb Pharm assures herb identity via macroscopic and organoleptic analysis, then they confirm it through methods such as HPTLC fingerprinting specific to each herb. Herb Pharm liquid extracts are easily dispensed, taken in liquid form and added to water or other liquid.

Herb Pharm Marshmallow is never fumigated or irradiated.
