Herb Pharm Red Root Tincture works as a tonic, astringent and stimulant to mucous membranes and expectorant. Acts as a glandular alterative that promotes decongestion in the portal circulation, lymphatic tissue, liver, and especially the spleen. Facilitates drainage of cysts and swollen glands.

Red root tincture can help with swollen lymph nodes and adenoids; sore throat, pharyngitis and tonsillitis; mumps; mononucleosis; chronic torpor of stomach and liver; swollen, congested liver. It is an excellent remedy for enlarged, congested spleen (especially of malarial origin) and chronic or sub-acute splenitis. Clears catarrhal conditions with excessive, thick secretions; chronic bronchitis. Ovarian cysts.

To assure optimal extraction of Red Root’s bioactive compounds, the roots are hand-harvested only in late autumn or winter, are carefully shade-dried, and are then thoroughly extracted.

Red root tincture is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant.
