Western Bulk Herbs – Red Sandalwood
Most often used as an essential oil, sandalwood can be taken internally for chronic bronchitis. Mostly used as a natural dye it has diuretic and anti-diarrhea properties which are used in toothpastes and acne treatments. Used in Ayurvedic medicine and has been used for many years as an incense to bring love to oneself.
While most are familiar with the richly exotic qualities of this heartwood, they usually associate it with incenses and perhaps even soaps. Largely, they think of the aroma that the wood exudes. However, you can actually brew a tea from this as well.

Cautions:
Excessive use should be avoided if you are pregnant. Do not use if you have a disease involving the parenchyma of the kidney. Avoid prolonged use beyond six weeks.
