Herb Pharm Schisandra Tincture is a nutritive, antioxidant, and astringent adaptogen. Expectorant and antitussive. Detoxifies, protects, and regenerates the liver. Promotes production of body fluid. Allays spontaneous sweating. Calming sedative. Antagonizes stimulant effect of caffeine.*

Herb Pharm prepares adaptogenic Schisandra tincture from the ripe berry of Certified Organic Schisandra chinensis vines. To assure optimal quality, only berries that have been graded as premium quality are purchased directly from China. The herb is revered in Traditional Chinese Herbalism. It is often referred to as ‘five flavored spice” because it has five types of flavor (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, umami).

Schisandra berries are first soaked in menstruum and then thoroughly extracted. Soaking protects oils and preserves flavor.

The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. Herb Pharm assures the herb identity via macroscopic and organoleptic analysis, then they confirm it through methods such as HPTLC fingerprinting specific to each herb. The formula is easily dispensed, taken in liquid form and added to water or other liquid.
