Plum Flower Shou Wu Pian

Plum Flower Shou Wu Pian Tonifies Blood, Nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin, Replenishes Jing-essence, Strengthens Tendons and Bones, Moistens the Intestines.

Indications:
Liver and Kidney Yin, Blood and Jing-essence deficiency presenting with premature graying of the hair, dry hair, hair loss, dry skin, cracked and brittle nails, pale complexion, soreness and weakness of the lower back and knees, weakness of the legs with difficulty standing for long periods, numbness or tingling of the limbs, headache, eye pain, poor vision, forgetfulness, poor memory, dizziness, poor hearing, tinnitus, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety, spermatorrhea, nocturnal emissions, irregular menstruation, abnormal uterine bleeding, frequent urination, tendency towards dry, difficult stools. Also, for Wind rash due to Blood deficiency presenting with chronic, itchy, skin rashes, chronic non-healing sores, abscesses and swellings. Tongue: red if Yin deficiency dominates, pale if Blood deficiency dominates Pulse: thin, weak, rapid.**

Biomedical Applications:
Alopecia areata, lumbago, rheumatism, sexual dysfunction, infertility, hypercholesterolemia, constipation, allergic dermatitis, pressure sores, general debility, convalescence from severe or prolonged illnesses, post-partum weakness, post-menstrual fatigue, sleep disorders, chronic stress, chronic malaria.*

Standard Dosage:
3 tablets, 3 x day.

Clinical Dosage:
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or during the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 3-5 tablets 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used long-term for several weeks to several months. May be used over the course of several years.**

Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
