Chinese Bulk Herbs – Wild Ginger (Xi Xin)
Wild ginger is used for sinus problems, toothaches, rheumatic pains, and phlegm in coughs. Mixed with other Chinese herbs (Angelica (Du Huo), Clematis (Wei Ling Xian), and Dang Gui (Dong Quai) it helps joints with pain caused by wind and damp.
This is NOT the same as ginger you can purchase in the store. This is a different plant altogether.
ONLY USE THE ROOT of this herb. See Cautions
Clinical Use (Chinese):
Dispels Wind, expels Cold to relieve pain, warms the Lung to resolve Fluid, removes nasal obstruction.

Properties:
Pungent in flavor, warm in property.
Cautions:
The FDA warning for aristolochic acid (AA) is not relevant to wild ginger ROOT. Aristolochic acid (AA) is in the green part of the plant and is NOT used in Chinese medicine. Should not use as Wild ginger is incompatible with Rhizoma Veratri (Li Lu).
