Zizyphus Seed or Suan Zao Ren, and sometimes called Jujube seeds, supports internal energy and strength to regulates sleep for those with poor quality of sleep, especially when you wake up and can’t fall back asleep.

Zizyphus seed comes from the Jujube date. The pits are removed, and then the rough hulls are sloughed away to reveal the smooth, red seeds that are more familiar to herbalists.

Clinical Use (Chinese):
Nourishes heart yin, tonifies liver blood, quiets the spirit – irritability, insomnia, palpitations, anxiety due to blood or yin deficiency.
