Known as the ‘Imperial nut’, the walnut tree has many uses. The wood is highly prized and the fruit that it bears has been beneficial to herbalists throughout the ages. The green hulls of the fruit are highly astringent and extracts prepared from them are useful for assisting the body with digestion, resisting infection, and can improve the quality of hair and skin.

Herb Pharm prepares their Black Walnut tincture from the fresh (undried) fruit hulls of Juglans nigra trees which are Custom Wildcrafted in their natural wild habitat.

To assure optimal extraction of Black Walnut’s bioactive compounds, the fruits are hand-harvested only in early autumn when their hulls are still green but are beginning to soften. The hulls are removed from the outside of the fruits and are then promptly extracted while still fresh and succulent.

Herb Pharm Black Walnut is never fumigated or irradiated.
