Chinese Bulk Herbs – Chrysanthemum (Ju Hua)
Chrysanthemum, also known as Ju Hua, is used for treating liver conditions, reduce fevers, improve eyesight, headaches, and common colds. It’s also beneficial for weakness in hot climates. According to Chinese medicine, Chrysanthemum flowers have a positive effect on yin.
Ju Hua refers to both the yellow and white varieties of the chrysanthemum flower, and each color has slightly different qualities.
White chrysanthemum is used to reduce arterial tension, treat liver conditions, and improve vision. Yellow flowers are effective for a sore throat and fevers. Both kinds can be brewed into a pleasantly floral tea that carries medicinal value beyond normal expectations for this flower.
Clinical Use (Chinese):
For the invasion of Wind Heat and epidemic febrile diseases at the early stage with fever, dizziness, and headache. This herb can clear the upper body of Heat, clear the head, and improve eyesight.
Chrysanthemum flower is known to treat high arterial pressure, reduce fevers, and relieve inflammatory conditions.
