Longan berries relieve rapid heartbeat, insomnia, forgetfulness and anxiety. It can also be used as an antidote for poison. The berries support the heart & spleen in times of stress and nourishes the blood and calms the mind. It also increases physical stamina.

Longan contains several vitamins and minerals, including iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium, and large amounts of vitamins A and C.

The fresh fruit is said to be similar in taste to lychee and has a clear flesh inside the dark skin. The center contains a single, smooth pit.

Clinical Use (Chinese):
Longan is considered to have a sweet taste and warm energy and is associated with the Heart and Spleen meridians.
