Plantain seed, also known as plantago seeds is commonly used for urinary tract burning and itching as well as redness. It’s also used for eye pain such as redness, dryness, itching, and burning. It has been used for high blood pressure and acts as a diuretic.

Clinical Use (Chinese):
Promotes urination and clears heat; also clears the eyes and expels phlegm and stops coughs.
